STK Holding

Cable TV operator

VECTRA (formerly ŚTK- Śląska Telewizja Kablowa – Silesian Cable Television) was one of the largest cable TV operators in Poland. It was launched in 1991 as joint venture of several Silesian companies and Vision Networks, a cable television subsidiary of Dutch telecom, KPN. In 2003, ŚTK was acquired by a consortium of private equity funds including Innova Capital and sold in 2005 to a strategic investor, Vectra. Following this acquisition, ŚTK expanded its range by adding new channels, introducing fixed-line telephony services and Internet access.
